Puerto Pollensa
Puerto Pollensa is situated in the north east corner of Mallorca,
surrounded by a backdrop of mountains to the north and the crystal-clear
waters of the Bay of Pollensa to the south. It is largely unspoilt and
very picturesque.

|
The Parc Residential Bellresguard apartments are set in their own
landscaped grounds with a mixture of gardens, ponds and pools
all located within 100 metres of the beach and the famous
Pollensa Pine Walk. |
 |
 |
The Parc is ideally placed for couples and families who are looking for a
traditional seaside holiday with child friendly sandy beaches,
beautiful Mediterranean countryside and the added attraction of
numerous local bars and restaurants, all within walking distance
of the apartment. |
|
Long, lazy summer days may be spent on the terrace around the pool or at
one of the many beaches or simply in the enclosed garden whilst
relaxing and enjoying the clean island air and beautiful
mountain vista. |
 |
 |
Each Wednesday morning throughout the year Puerto Pollensa holds
its weekly market amongst the outdoor cafés in the old town
square. Here you’ll find a wide variety of fresh fruit and
vegetables, all locally grown and sold by the farmers, together
with local arts and crafts from around the island |
|
There is a wide variety of activities on offer including boat trips,
sailing, windsurfing, scuba diving, hiking, walking (perhaps
through the Boquer Valley to the beach at Cala Boquer) and the
ever popular cycling - in the mountains and around the local
countryside. Pollensa golf club is just ten kilometres away and
welcomes all visitors. |
 |
 |
If you decide to rent a car during your stay then there are plenty of
places to visit for day trips. We recommend Cala San Vicente,
Alcudia, the Monastery at Lluc, Valldemosa, Soller, Deia or the
cosmopolitan city of Palma. There are very good bus services to
many parts of the island which run regularly during the summer
season. |
Pollensa
|
The ancient town of Pollensa is transformed each Sunday morning when
Placa Major becomes a hive of activity as the magnificent weekly
market reclaimes the square and fills any space not otherwise
occupied by the delightful outdoor cafés . |

|
 |
The 365 cypress-lined steps, locally known as El Calvari or The Way of
the Cross, leading to the chapel at the top are not to be missed
either for the panoramic views across the Bay of Pollensa
visible from the top or for the much deserved café con leche
waiting at the bottom! |
Formentor
|
The spectacular cliffs and secluded coves of the Formentor Peninsular are
just a few minutes ride from the Port. Take the glass-bottomed
ferry for the 30 minute sea journey to the beach at Formentor
with its crystal-clear waters and fine sandy bay. |
 |
 |
Or simply follow the Formentor road through the pines and over the
mountains whilst enjoying the magnificent Mediterranean views.
On a clear day from the lighthouse at the Cap de Formentor you
can see Menorca just twenty five nautical miles due east. |
Lluc
|
A short distance from Pollensa and set in the stunning scenery of the
Tramuntana Mountains lies the Monastery at Lluc. This is the
religious centre of Mallorca and pilgrims have been coming here
and to see the statuette of the Virgin (La Moreneta) for over
700 years. Each year in August there is an overnight pilgrimage
from Palma to Lluc. |
